To the right you will see a short (3 questions only) survey. I am experimenting with this feature in the website design site. Parents, please give me some insights into your values on homework, and your reactions to this year's workload at Monterey. If you wish to add further comments I would be happy to read your emails: [email protected] . You will gradually see a response to your opinions in the coming year. Until then have a wonderful, restful holiday.

Please see the salmon (orangy pink) permission letter sent home today (Wed. Dec. 11).
Our class will be visiting Ross Bay Cemetery on Thursday December 19 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Students will receive a tour of the cemetery with special emphasis on the settings and highlights from our class novel work on Awake and Dreaming. There is no cost for this opportunity, however, I have budgeted in enough time for a quick stop at a neighbouring café for a quick treat such as hot chocolate or hot apple drink (Ross Bay can be cold and windy at this time of year). If you would like your child to avail themselves of a warm drink please send $3.00 in pocket change on the day of the trip. (Mr. Brown will not be managing this money.)
We will be walking to and from the Cemetery; therefore students are advised to wear proper walking shoes and to dress for the weather. Please bring along a snack and water bottle.
It is essential that we have at least one other supervising adult on the trip. Parents, if you can help, please contact Mr. Brown or indicate on the salmon coloured permission letter.
