| Language Arts/Fine Art: Surprising how many pop songs there are at this time of year. Do you know the lyrics to seasonal music or Christmas carols? In this weeks LA assignment students will choose 1 or more songs and transcribe the lyrics into the bands of these 3D snowflake mobiles. Students may search for lyrics on mobile devices, websites and Youtube can supply the lyrics. Follow the directions pictured to make your 6 panel snowflake. Groups of 2 or 3 students welcome. Finished snowflakes to be hung in the classroom. |
After meeting with our Lead Kayak Guide and our leadership team, we have reviewed the 2 paddling groups to ensure that there is a balance of competent paddlers in each of the fleets. Students' input was also sought by secret ballot, each student indicating one (only) classmate with whom they would like to be; when possible these preferences were accommodated. The list below shows the revised groups. Please refer to tab above, "Ocean Studies Program" to find out which DAYS Green Group and Blue Group will be paddling (also below). Since many families make long term plans we wanted to ensure these revised paddling dates came to you before the Winter (Christmas) break.
Please get in touch with me regarding any concerns.
